Job & internship openings
MSc - PhDs - Postdocs
Students with background in physics, mathematics, computer science, engineering or similar are welcome to carry out MSc theses, PhDs or postdocs within the Development in NeuroImaging Data Acquisition and Modelling Lab. These can be conducted in co-supervision with us and other researcher at the CRC (neuropsychologists, neurologists,…) or ULiege.
Current job openings are available on this page.
There are 2 open postdoctoral positions linked to the "Brain-to-Body MRI" project funded by the University of Liège. The aim of this B2B-MRI project is to enlarge the field of application of our 2 MRI machines (3T Prisma and 7T Terra, Siemens) beyond 1H brain imaging. This project involves partners from the School of Engineering, the Faculty of Science, and the Faculty of Medicine.
We are looking for:
- an MRI Physicist Postdoctoral researcher,
- an engineer or computer scientist Postdoctoral researcher.
Deadline for application is August 1, 2024.
Current topics of project research are
- advanced MRI sequence optimization and validation at 3T and 7T. This includes quantitative MRI (qMRI), Chemical Exchange Saturation Transfer (CEST), Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping (QSM).
- modelling of “diffusion weighted MRI”, considering ‘tensor algebra’ for a direct processing of “diffusion tensor images”.
- electro-magnetic head modelling of the head for more accurate EEG forward solution and optimized tDCS brain stimulation.
- analysis and modelling of large scale, i.e. month long and 100+ subjects, actigraphy data.
- dynamic PET data modelling for accurate radiotracer quantification, without arterial sampling
- multimodal data integration through multivariate analysis, including machine learning/DL techniques.
We do not supply financial support to MSc students.
We can assist PhD candidates in applying for bursaries. Several calls are possible for instance at FNRS, ULiege, Leon Frédéricq Foundation.
We can assist postdoc candidates in applying for bursaries. Several calls are possible for instance at FNRS, ULiege, EU.
When available we support PhD theses or Postdocs on funds granted to the Development in NeuroImaging Data Acquisition & Modelling Lab.
